What to Do at Paws in the Park

Paws in the Park is a summertime staple for animal lovers across the province. Each year, dog owners and their dogs come together for a day out in the sun to celebrate all things friendly and furry while helping support Toronto Humane Society’s life-saving efforts.

For the third year in a row, you can adopt your forever friend right from the event! Be sure to bring with you a piece of ID. Even though we are out of the shelter, our standard adoption process will still apply. If you have a dog at home and you are thinking about adopting another, bring them along to the event so they can meet each other.

Donor Zone:

This is an exciting new feature at Paws in the Park. Stop by, learn more about our organization and the different ways you can support the animals in our care. More information coming soon!

Sponsorship/Exhibitor Opportunities:

2018’s Paws in the Park was our biggest event yet. With more vendors, sponsors and attendees, we want this year to be even bigger. If you are looking for more than exhibiting, we have sponsorship opportunities available that start at just $500.

If you are interested in becoming an Exhibitor or a Sponsor of Paws in the Park® please contact the Event Team.

If you are unable to join us on the day of but would still like to support the fantastic cause, donate to one of our registered Participants or Teams or you make a general donation to the event!

Register as a Walk Participant:

Beginning at Woodbine Park and carrying on along the Martin Goodman Trail through Ashbridge’s Bay, the entire walk is about 4 km. But there is a turn-around point mid-way for those who’d prefer a shorter, more relaxed pace. Before the walk, you can help raise money for the animals in our care by collecting pledges from your colleagues, friends, family and fellow animal lovers.

Registered participants of Paws in the Park raise pledges before event day to support them on their walk. Funds raised go directly to Toronto Humane Society to help continue to provide life-saving (and life changing) services to pets and people in our community. Register Now!

Dog Training Sessions

Whether people are looking to provide positive early-life experiences for their new puppy, brush up on basic foundation skills, or looking for individual support for their dog, our free training classes are a great way to pick up some tips you and your dog can bring home together.

Q & A with a Toronto Humane Society Veterinarian

Regular visits to the vet are super important. But they can be time consuming and sometimes costly. That’s why we’ve set up our hugely popular Vet Q&A sessions! Whether you want to know exactly how much your kitten needs to be eating or you’d like to learn a little bit about tick prevention, the session will be hugely beneficial for animal lovers of all kinds.

Bissell Dog Wash

Nothing is better after a fun and exciting day of adventures, dog training, and scavenger hunting than a dog wash courtesy of our amazing sponsor Bissell! Let your furry friend get the grooming and pampering that they deserve.

And so much more...

Stay tuned for more information on the long list of other events, including: doggie yoga (doga) silent auctions, dog photo-booth, dog primping, an obstacle challenge, and face painting.
